v2.0 [Nov 17, 2011]
New User Interface: The first thing you will notice is a very new and improved user interface. (See screenshot)
Preview pane: Allows you to view details of each message as you scroll through your collection of messages.
Preview pane quick tasks: Gives you a super easy way to do common tasks by displaying an "I want to" UI.
Navigation bar: Enables you to quickly switch between voice messages, contacts and caller log.
21st century look: Sexy new effects that make you really enjoy using the application.
Search contacts very easily: Now you can very easily search your contacts with, with a top level, always available UI that allows you to do so.
Minimize to System Tray: This was probably the most frequent feature request that was made. Now, you don't have to have Ancyba Answering Machine visible in the task pane. You can minimize it to the system tray, and it sits there in the background doing its job, until you decide that you want to display it.
So now, there is a "server" component, that sits in the background and acts as your answering machine, and then there is "client" that is the UI face to the answering machine.
Popup Notifications: You will receive a popup notification at the bottom left corner of the screen when receive an incoming call. This notification tells you who is calling. You can then decide whether you want to answer the call. Of course, you will still get the voice announcement of the caller if you so choose.
Email: This was another very common feature request. Now, you can enable Ancyba to send an email out whenever a message is recorded. The email message contains the Name, phone number, date and voice mail attachment of the message just received. So you could configure to have emails sent to your work email account every time a message is recorded, and you will know about it instantly.
Extensibility: If you are a developer, and would like to extend Ancyba Answering Machine 2.0, you can now do so. An object model is provided for you, and you can use VisualBasic or your favorite programming language to trap events like "OnIncomingCall" or "OnMessageRecorded" to do things the program does not do for you by default.
